MEET BOBBY & Joey

BOBBY BLASINGAME
Lead Pastor

Bobby was born and raised in Little Rock, AR. He met Jesus as his Lord and Savior when he was nine at a church camp in Northwest Arkansas. He started out with the desire for a career in medicine as a surgeon, and while finishing high school, he went through EMT school to learn more about healthcare. However, while he was a pre-med student in Little Rock, God called him into the ministry. He transferred to Ouachita Baptist University, where he received a degree in biblical studies and continued his education at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

After college, Bobby worked for Metropolitan Emergency Medical Services (MEMS) in Little Rock before accepting a full-time position as a Student Pastor in Camden, AR. Prior to coming to CCF, he was a Student Pastor for over 20 years and spent most of his ministry in West Monroe, LA—a place he still considers his second home and where his family lives. Bobby came to CCF in November of 2020 as the Lead Pastor and is passionate about helping people Learn from Christ, Live in Christ, and Leading others to Christ.

He is very active in the community, and likely you will see him on the sidelines at athletic events for the local schools assisting athletes with any sports medicine needs. He also remains active in EMS, working with Ink Fire Dept, Mena and 70W Fire Dept, Hot Springs. Bobby is most proud of his big brother, Billy, along with his niece and three nephews: Trinity, Billy, Sonny, and Bentley.

Joey Colvert
Student Pastor

Joey was born and raised in Benton, AR. He gave his heart to Jesus at the age of seven. He accepted the call to ministry in junior high but decided to pursue a career in interior design instead. Joey attended Williams Baptist University, where he ran cross country and track, pursuing a degree in Business Administration, before switching to a Christian ministries major his sophomore year. He graduated from Williams Baptist, where he received a degree in Christian ministries with a focus on youth ministry, as well as a minor in business administration.

After college, Joey moved back home to Benton, finding work and serving as a volunteer at his home church until God called him to CCF. He joined the CCF team in August of 2021 as Student Pastor, this being his first full-time job in ministry. He and his wife, Ashley, are passionate about educating and equipping students to fulfill the church's vision as they encounter their peers at school or on the field.

You can see Joey and Ashley in the stands at almost every sporting event, cheering on the Bearcats and Ladycats. In the spring, you can catch him at track practice and track meets.
